World at glance

World at glance

A Poem by Pritesh
"

Its to characterize the deceptive nature of our world which we all often ignore.I hope you'll like it.

"
World at a glance,
seems to be a place of heavenly great,
but is not more than a human grate.

World at a glance,
seems to be full of natural treasure,
but is not more than manly leisure.

World at a glance,
seems to be full of extravagant proclaimers,
but none hears the needy which clamours.

World at glance,
seems to be full of people great and rich,
but none bothers agony of poor fighting hungry witch.

World at a glance,
seems to be full of sages and people of virtue,
but do they really preach the people with knowledge true?

World at a glance,
seems to be full of prudent vision and ambition,
but what about the embattled world with fragmented religon.

It's impressive how you've shown two opposite sides to the points made in each stanza. A reader might find that there is a cruel tone to the narrator's voice. But, the fog is actually being lifted here. The subject is connected to politics, sociology, religion and philosophy which counts as a lot. There is always an inequality resting in every society and every nation. I am glad that you have remarkable awareness of it. Though it is is of very serious content, it is enlightening and beautiful with full of morals in it. It also makes me think whether you're implying the role of the world media.

a nice write! simple, but nice!
i could sense you're eager for the truth, but may i ask, and although a poet's job is to point at fraud and dishonesty, but what in your opinion is the truth?
where is truth?
btw, i sense you're a bit... erm... Platonic? an Idealist? am i correct?

thanks...for your...kind review....xd
A "World at a Glance" would have intertwining and contradicting belief structures, goals, gods and morals (or lack thereof). It's when they are all playing out in unison that it's complicating, deafening and dizzying.

Great perspective, a refreshing read.

I like tag line poetry and this is a nice example. What a great way to bring forward questions of religion, greed and man's disregard for others.

This is so amazing! It's real and true! Nothing is what it seems. Such thought provoking stuff. And the fact that you take the time to write about something so much more than just you really warms my heart. I must admit i often write about things that concern me and never really look pasted my life and my experiences and my bubble really. You are a real gem :)
