Star Gazing

Star Gazing

A Poem by Prismgirl

I am terrified to be

Your star to gaze upon,

Because gazing is never

Quite enough for me,

Yet it is exactly

What I ask for.

Why do I always expect

People to go above and beyond

For such a broken soul

As mine?

I receive exactly

What I ask for

And still I am unsatisfied,

Simply starving for more.

The hunger is insatiable,

Yet still I give and give In to it

Letting it run my life

Until my time is out

And still my want for more

Is astronomical.

You make the heart feel like it has an interstellar reach. Your words make dark matter feel like a rainbow that we can walk upon and touch a universe that seemed like it could never be reached.Sometimes I feel like a black hole constantly wanting something I don't have, be it love, be it attention and the funny part is I can never hold onto any of it. It's stellar that even though the universe is enormous, i'm not the only tear in space that feels broken.

A very inspiring poem. Sounds of the enter cries of one that has a longing to be excepted for the wonder that it truly is.
