Nothing Much

Nothing Much

A Poem by Tom Friel

"I know nothing!"

Spewed the indigent
Groping for more
Finding less
Grasping to see
Hoping to bless
You pray he will stop
This mindless confess
“Oh my God! Did he just spit on her dress!”

"I know nothing!"

He cries once again
More drunken gibberish
Now rolls off his chin
Have you gone somewhere else?
Can you not comprehend?
How quickly you step
Past this man
In descend

"I know nothing!”

Still he spews
So simple his words
So forever confused
There's no time to waste
On a life so debased
The light has turn green
You can now
Leave this place

Somehow I attract the weirdos too Tom But what harm is there in listening for a little while.
