A Mother's Touch

A Mother's Touch

A Poem by Tom Friel

She had her mother’s touch
I knew it from the start
Short and to the point
She always found my heart
Just a knick here and there
Cold confidence filled those eyes
Ever slowly flowed my wounds
Drip by drip, it never dries
