Garden of Delights

Garden of Delights

A Poem by Tom Friel

The water is cool
Softly refreshing
Nimble toes
Unaccustomed
To such freedoms
Wade blissfully
Back and forth
Her body
Instinctively moves
Where desires
Hot from the sun
Move innocently
Within her
Secret garden
Studious lads
Gander eagerly
As She
Steps delicately
Naturally
Upon smooth stones
Weathered by time
Precociously balancing
The art of giving
And being given
Preparing oneself
(unknowingly)
For love
Such is
The blossoms of youth
Before being picked
