No, Thank-you

No, Thank-you

A Poem by Tom Friel

It was
A simple life
Easily defined
Easily overlooked
A life
Swept under
A life
Hidden from sight
Hidden from love
A life
Of rituals
Daily routines
Comfortable chains
A life
Sucked dry
A vacumn filled
With cat hairs and dust
Suffocating inside
Oblivious
To the glass half full
Poured everyday
Clearly
Something’s wrong

I also think life can be mundane and boring and seem as if there should be something more exciting for us. I thought you captured that well with this.

Poured everyday
Clearly
Something's wrong } I thought this really summed it up well.
