Old Friend Grief

Old Friend Grief

A Poem by Tom Friel

Old friend grief,

here you knock again.

So familiar your knock,

who now do you send?

Kindness mixed with sorrow;

warm casseroles, soft bread.

Condolences turn to hugs -

all things life,

rise with the dead.
