Broken Glass

Broken Glass

A Poem by Tom Friel

so much for promises

laying with lies you feel
the maddening madescent
the moist malaise
the metamorphosis
that's all to real

too ashamed to look
into the mirror and see
what they see

for they see nothing
and you feel nothing
and others walk by you
as if nothing's happened

from unsightly to blind
as if you welcome it
deserve it, need it
like a good confession

    oh....
               to hell with it

I think this is a very well crafted piece... you used some powerful words to create illuminating images without using alot of words... good write!
