The Kiss

The Kiss

A Poem by Tom Friel

Succulent reasons
Moist eyes
Filled with treason
If I kiss you
Will you let me go?

The path we take
Should I forsake?
If I kiss you
Kiss me slow

A  passion filled tryst
Just one on your list?
If I kiss you
Will I know?

all those unavoidable. unanswerable questions we have with that first kiss (okay, maybe not intended to be the first one here, but that's how i saw it) i like the simplicity of the emotions and the questions. almost a desire to take the moment and keep it in a jeweled hour glass. this is lovely and romantic. well done.
