The Irish Smile

The Irish Smile

A Poem by Tom Friel
"

A poem to make you smile. Photo taken in '85 up around Donnegal.

"

‘Twas Himself
Or Herself
Or maybe that
Freckled-faced girl
Smiling brightly
That triggered
Something
A Past?
A Present?

Something we shared
The freckled-faced girl
Reminded me
We all wear
We all share
That unmistakable
Irish smile
