"Inextricably" Raped

"Inextricably" Raped

A Poem by Tom Friel

A sandy beach and peaceful clouds
Now darkened by your plans
It brings a rain and constant pain
Timeless minutes in your hands

So much anger filled by passion
Should I somehow understand?
“Inextricably he repeats the past”
Your doctor leaves the stand

The tide returns again and again
Each pebble clinging to my skin
Days may pass but nothing's changed
The nightmare is always him

How quickly the sand did cover me
How quickly the damage done
You knew my name, you never explained
Why was I the chosen one?
