One Final Lesson

One Final Lesson

A Poem by Tom Friel

Always a good example
Now he watches
Silently
From a distance
As those he loves
Lay him to rest

Ever the guardian
He watches wistfully
Lovingly
Near angels wings
As his six children

He remembers
Watching them grow
Learning their smarts
They remember
His undying love
A gentle strength heart

He watches them now
As taps are played
And eyes fill with tears
They hold hands together
Remembering the man
And cherishing the years

One final lesson
One soul says goodbye
Silently
From a distance
He teaches us all
Why families cry

It is very hard to say good bye to the ones you love, but you have projected an entire different image altogether. Nice work!

Erst wenn die Wolken schlafen gehen
kann man uns am Himmel sehen
wir haben angst und sind allein
Gott wieb ich will kein Engel sein

Keep writing! ~KA~
