he writes like a painter
assuredly
albeit abstractly
sensuously stroking
his subject matter
bringing it to life
with each stroke
    back and forth
  back and forth

goes his brush
feverishly working
the once white
taut canvas
    back and forth
  back and forth
from canvas
to palette
never stopping
until the           
canvas
is satisfied
