The Path

The Path

A Poem by Evan Winslow

The empty highway screams in desperation,

agony from the grinding wheels,

augmented angst,

powerless,

save for intimidation of size alone.

Engulfing nature peels back,

at the resounding hiss of tires,

knowing too well the imminent recession,

that comes with man's reeling, grease gunked watch.
