From Me, To YOUA Poem by Priscilla SayersWelcome to my open doors, my windows thrown high, letting in all rain or shine, tears streak my face, no longer moist my eyes, so I am ready for what may come, Welcome to my truth, as I give more, and then some...... I love to sing sweet lullabies, as I tuck my precious ones, into cozy beds at night. My voice that soothes them, from the fright, of the dark, of the bumps that clouds their hazy, sleepy minds. I take the words of the unkind, remembering they want love, so I give them mine. To all I have lost, to sorrow and bitterness, I throw my arms out wide, to caress, as far as I can see, I drown the hate you seethe, with bits of love from me..... Just like children full of fear, I'll hold you close my dears, for I was never one, unforgiving, It is my choice, I choose living.... Living to give love, even the unrequited, even if my love is smited. © 2012 Priscilla SayersFeatured ReviewReviews
