Goodbye Juanita

Goodbye Juanita

A Poem by Belinda Arcelay

Was it pride that kept me away
Was it that I felt I was no longer your Lin that kept me away
Yes, I knew you were sick.
The poisons in your body made you weak.
So when you stopped taking the poisons.
It was too late for your body to heal.
We talked on the phone you said you still loved me and that I was still your Lin.
But I couldn't see you because the pain was to much that I would never be your daughter-in-law.
The day you went into the arms of God , my heart broke more.
I could only remember you through tears because I didn't say goodbye.
Your son didn't give you a funeral ,nor a burial.
Your ashes in a box.
I'M SORRY!
JUANITA!
Sorry you had to leave this way, Without me saying.
I Love you.
Watch over your grandsons for there hearts break Too.
We miss you Juanita.
