FEAR

FEAR

A Poem by Princess_ck84

FEAR

Running, it’s but a stupid, useless, waste.

Roar of blood boiling, squealing in my ears!

Deafening silence quickens my pace…

Shuddering heart screaming—burn of my tears.

The wetness of sweat, slicks my skin

My soul, feels as though it, yes, it is gripping.

The drop, falling, knowing I will not win.

Mind reeling—feeling as though it… is… slipping…

Salty stench, stings like acid

The sweet aroma of darkness

So crisp, so clear, yet so very acrid

Drowning in rich stale robustness

The sour flavour of impending death

Upon my tongue, it does seem to hum.

So foul the stink on my breath

Now, ever so tasteless—for here it comes—

Crystal Kells.
