I'm drenched in empty promises

From my forehead to my fingertips

From crown to toe, and wrist to wrist

I'm covered in your nothingness

 

I'm covered in your turn-of-phrase

And sinking in your cunning ways

I'm too far gone to really see

What your destruction's done to me

 

And In spite of all I know inside me

I drop my guard and let you find me

All common sense and reason gone

There's nohing left but me alone

 

Bruised and bloodied at your feet

Alone am I enough to keep?

And though I'm broken can you tell

That every time you moved I fell?

 

I fell flat-faced on solid ground

But my gracelessness it made no sound

I wished somehow that you could see

How you'd humiliated me

 

And I wish for what will never be

For you to know....That YOU failed me

great write, I am sucker for rhymes.

I am a little iffie on the And in spite... stanza, seems forced, However, you could feel the emotion and pain.
