Childhood Story..

A short poem on childhood memories.

Childhood memories last forever,
With joys and smiles sprinkled over.

Dolls and cars and toy guns,
Smiles and laughters and so much fun.

Mom's little kisses and dad's sweet hugs,
They were my world, my guardian angels.

Gone are those days when pencils were stolen,
New things made your day and hearts were not broken.

Sweet every moment is sharp in my memory,
Everybody likes to remember a childhood story!

Our childhood is the formative building blocks to who we become as adults, so how nice it is to be able to reflect back on a happy and stable one as it is in this case !

Childhood! I have read quite a few pieces which talk of childhood memories and each of them is unique in its on way, so is yours. Nice couplets. I am an adolescent, not a child. I can understand this poem very well. As one grows up, enjoyment fades away and stress, worry and workload take its place. A simple poem with a powerful, deep and profound meaning hidden in it. Well-written. Keep writing.
