TEARFUL EYES
Along the riverside, in the woods, so dark,
Let me sit for hours reflecting on my life;
To let the horror of the past come alive,
To gather thorns of sorrow and grief;
To be lost in the arms of despair;
Wicked witches around me in the robes of distress;
Dancing to the tunes of blue devils unfair!
With tearful eyes she stood by the cross,
Her heart filled with rues and woes across.
Came upon her the blessed light,
Said the almighty "Do not fear my child !'';
For those who cry in misery and pain,
Serene flowers of contentment are granted to them!
With tearful eyes she walked hurriedly on the road of fear,
Halted for a moment her feet so pure;
Serenity in her words so clear,
Spoke the virgin '' Let it be by your will,
Who am I to interfere.......!''
