Trickery

Trickery

A Poem by JillyBean
"

Another angsty poem about betrayal.

"

You bring death, destruction, and heartbreak.

You are always the cause of heartache.

You insinuate yourself in a group

Of people you somehow manage to dupe.

You always pretend to cry,

But there was just something in your eye.

In the end your lack of feeling

Always sends everyone reeling.

You never let anyone inside.

You only look for places to hide.

You never care who gets hurt

Or who ends up face down in the dirt.

You left so many people behind,

Even though they were trying to find

The piece of you that doesn't exist.

That heart of yours you never missed.
