Rules

Rules

A Poem by JillyBean
"

Very short poem I wrote about two years ago.

"
Everyday is the same.

It's all just one elaborate game.

Life is full of elaborate rules,

Followed by simple fools.

These unwritten rules you all follow,

Don't they make you feel hollow?

I don't want to feel like that

Just to fit into society's format.

I'll give these rules a deadly ending,

So I don't have to continue pretending.

Hello. Tell me what you think or laugh. Either one sounds good to me. Also, I wrote this over two years ago. Of course, that doesn't mean that anything I write now or in the future will be any better.

Break the rules, break the habit. Only we are able to make a habit or just follow a self-created routine. I definitely feel all the desperation of a new being and letting go of the boring i-do-this-daily routine.
