DrowningA Poem by Kaitlin Siobhan I'm suckin down cigarettes and I can feel the tar building on the cancer. I'll be coughin up blood in the morning. My eye lids are like lead and my muscles are goo. My heart is slowing. It's been a while since I've felt like this.
"Take my heart instead." I say to the demon, "And maybe it wont get hurt that way." Cause how can a heart hurt the body it belongs to when it's missing? © 2008 Kaitlin Siobhan |
