Numb

Numbness is swimming through my body
Like a pool with a drowning melody
Why is nobody holding onto me

Can you hear me ?

My mind is like a bird cage
And all I hear are the echoes of my screams
Wishing to break free
And rid my self of these terrible things

Numbness is dancing in my fingertips
Slithering down through my body,
and tiptoeing
it's way into my head

My body is swaying back and forth
I lay down on the bed
wishing it all would end
