Simple Truths

I'm kind of sick of everyone I know as of right now. I need to let my anger out somehow. I'm not trying to be mean in anyway either.

You are such a good friend to me.

I can trust you with everything I say.

We always have such a good time together.

 

Too bad you can be selfish.

Too bad you are insenstive towards other people's problems.

Too bad you forget about the people that are close to you.

 

You are a terrific listener.

I feel like we can be on the same page about many things.

We help each other out whenever possible.

 

Too bad you don't know what you want.

Too bad you contridict yourself often.

Too bad I can't trust you as much as I used to.

 

You are a smart person.

I really enjoy your company.

We get along well together.

 

Too bad you are too caught up in everyone else's lives.

Too bad you brush things off like nothing happens.

Too bad you don't care that much for me.

 

I am just trying to get along.

You might be too.

We see eye to eye, huh?

 

Too bad I can't live without attention.

Too bad I can get jealous.

Too bad I don't know how to interact with everyone.

 

But you know what?

It's ok.

We are all just people.

And we all live with our simple truths.

it was good the thing is everyone with ther problems its about loving them for them and learning to embrace ther problems i liked your poem especially at the end where you pointed out the accusers mistakes as well therefore making it a great poem woulda been good without it but the point u lead up to made it epic!

I get the feeling of being sick of everyone sometimes too. It's good to vent and push everything out. I like the style of the poem, of being positive traits and then some of the negatives, back to positives. Everyone has good traits, but usually they do come with the bad, unfortunately, and you did a wonderful job expressing those traits.The poem really flows, and you did a really great job of expressing your emotions, the message was clear and beautifully written. : )

I LOVE THIS! I can sooo relate to this. Well, I could at a point in my life where me and my bff sort of had a fall-out, but we patched everything up okay. i love it! 100/100!!!

I agree with sunflower, for each positive thing a person has there is often a negative. I think this poem is saying the simple truth, cutting out any drama that often comes with conflicts. The final two lines simply states that everyone has flaws, "We are all just people" and we just "live with our simple truths"
