 A CHRISTMAS EVENING
And there are these beautiful lovely winter evenings, where things are not okay but we expect them to be. Sometimes there are long gaps between the texts that we send to our loved ones. And then there are those beautiful moments on a Christmas evening when you are out in your balcony with a book in one hand and coffee onto the another. The cold breeze is touching your body and making you feel alive, but the interior is calm and silent. There's a sadness in our heart and  its visible on our face when it comes to spending Christmas eve alone. Every-time you move your gaze towards the path down your balcony you see kids running around with candies in their hands and hopping into restaurants with their friends and family or be it the lovers, kissing on the street celebrating their love and journey of all year long or more or less. The streets are full of lights, Christmas carol songs being played everywhere, and snowfall adding a sparkle to the festival.
Just then things change, you hear a turn of the knob and the door slid open. Guess what? There he is. I didn't really notice until his hot breath lingered on my shoulder. There were seconds before that I was lost in our memories and now he is right here, in-front of me ( behind, precisely) giving me the most beautiful surprise ever. My lips turned into a wide smile and I lay my back on his chest, I know he smiled too. He knew he was being missed. I didn't waste any more time and turned around to hug him tightly and he held me back with equal favor. He never lets me down, he makes me feel complete and protected. He cups my face with one hand and his other hand travels down to my waist pulling me closer to him with a jerk. My hands land on his well built chest and then moving to his soft messy hair. The sparks begin as our lips meet and they do magic. We kiss like there is no tomorrow. We pull apart, yet into a tight soul bearing hug. The lonely Christmas evening turned into the most beautiful night ever. "Merry Christmas, love"was all that he said, and I smiled a little more snuggling into him.
