Drink the Concoction of DawnA Poem by BluerealisSunrises are the most magical things of creation. I could write a thousand, and probably will write a thousand, poems about them.Drink the concoction that dawn spills every morn. Savour the harvest of new light born. Dawn's fingers of illumination carry the fresh and fallen dew, the beads of silver slipping from its stalks of gold. Breathe the spices of the bright, brewed air, wallow in the harmony of the awakening. The concrete paths are swallowed in the sun's soft flame, darkness engulfed by the morning jaw. Step into the morning pool, bathe in the rising sun. The glittering ribbons of day dance around your soul, lifting you, raising you, teaching you more. Sun's blanket of hair shed down to the earth, gently weaved into a tapestry of light. Drink the concoction that dawn spills every morn, savour the harvest of new light born. © 2008 BluerealisAuthor's Note
