I can't leave you

It is a story about a girl and a boy and trust.

Two important characters

Swara Bose and Sanskar Maheshwari

In a college, a girl is waiting for someone. He is always like this, makes her wait for so much time but she loves him a lot. Finally he came in his car.

Girl: Sanskar, you always give me heart attack. Exam is going to start within 10 minutes. Your class is in second floor and mine is in third floor. All the best. Write well. After the exam I will come and meet you. Ok bye. (Saying this she hugs him and then leaves from there in hurry).

Sanskar without any tension goes to his class and takes the pen from the invigilator writes the exam, gives paper before the bell rings and leaves the hall. He goes with lucky to canteen.

Lucky: Sanskar!! Where is Swara?

Swara(from behind): Ha Lucky, you are my best friend you at least remember me. This duffer always forgets me. (She beats him on the head and sits beside Sanskar making an angry face)

Sanskar gives a smile: Swara, How can I forget you dear? You are my life. I can't leave you.

Swara smiles and turns towards him: Sanskar, atleast for exams come fast to college no. Why you always like to irritate me? (She puts a pout)

Sanskar: Don't worry baby. I will write them well and I like to see your cute face when you are irritated. (He pulls her cheeks)

Sanskar and Laksh are from electronics branch while Swara is from Computers. All of them are good students getting good grades.

Swara(in the phone call): Hello Sanskar!! Are you free in the evening?

Sanskar: Yes Swara! Why? Shall we go for a date, I mean for a dinner or a movie. I am always ready.

Swara: Hello, Mr. Maheshwari. Don't go that far. Today is rakshbandhan. So, I had to tie rakhi....

Before she could complete Sanskar shouts No!! "Swara, I told you I don't want to be your brother. Why are you doing this to me? Please Swara."

Swara: Sanskar, listen to me first. I am going to my cousin brother's house. So, will you take me there in the evening? I am not interested in going alone.

Sanskar: Oh to your brother's house. I will surely take you there. Don't worry. After classes meet me near parking.

Swara agrees and cuts the call. After classes she goes to the parking and finds Sanskar standing along with his friends. His back is to her. So, she starts walking towards him. She could hear what they are talking.

Laksh: Sanskar, you won the bet bro. Still you are continuing the drama, why?

Ishan: Yes bro. Don't tell me you started falling for her?

Sanskar laughs loudly: Come on guys. You know me right. I don't believe in relationships and all. It was you guys who forced me into it. If at all that Lucky wouldn't have challenged me about making Swara fall for me. I wouldn't have talked with her.

Laksh: So, don't you love her?

Sanskar: Of course not laksh. (At that time they hear something fell on to the ground. They turn back and are shocked to see Swara standing behind them. All the books in her hand fell down. She takes all of them and runs from there.)

Swara couldn't believe her ears. Sanskar whom she thought to be her life had actually talked about her like that. "I am only foolish to think that he could love me. But all the care he showed to me all that is just for the sake of a bet. But I felt it so real. He might be a good actor. Thank you Sanskar, you gave me a good lesson. Now I won't trust anyone so easily. I hate you". All this while, she thinks about him and sees that Sanskar is walking towards her. She firstly wipes her tears and sees her surroundings finds a bus and gets into it.

Laksh: It's ok Sanskar, She had to know it some or the other day.

But Sanskar is not convinced. He wanted to tell her about that but not in this way. So, he took his bike and went behind the bus. He overtakes the bus and stops it.

Sanskar: Swara, Come down. I will take you to your brother's house. (He catches her hand but she doesn't budge) Swara, listen to me. I can explain.

The bus conductor shouts on them for wasting time and Swara is forced to get down the bus because Sanskar is reluctant to go until she comes with him. Swara starts walking away from him. But Sanskar stops her holding her wrist.

Swara: Sanskar leave me. Don't worry. I won't tell anyone about this. Your fame will not be at loss. Please don't create a scene now.

Sanskar: Swara, I am sorry. Actually I thought to tell you but because of the love and care you showed towards me I couldn't take risk of losing it. Till before this evening I thought I was just acting but when you left me just before few minutes I realized what you mean to me. I don't know whether it is love or not. But I can't leave you. (He tries to hold her hand but she jerks)

Swara smiles sadly: It's not that easy Sanskar. Once you break the trust and then say sorry. What is the guarantee that you won't repeat it again? (She tried very hard not to cry, but the tears don’t stop flowing from her eyes.)

Sanskar: Swara, Give me one chance. I won't let you regret this time. I promise. Swara, I love you.

Swara: You told this already. I can't trust you anymore Sanskar. Please leave me alone. (There is no bus stop nearby nor is she finding an auto. She is so restless.)

Sanskar: Swara, at least let me drop you near your cousins house. See it's getting late.

Without having any other choice, she sits on his bike by placing the bag in between them. She directs him. Finally, they reach the destination.

Swara: Thanks. You can leave now. I can go back on my own.

Sanskar: No problem. I will wait.

Swara leaves and Sanskar parks his bike and sits on it waiting for her and thinking how to pacify her. After about an hour Swara returns. She sees in the parking area, there is Sanskar's bike but he is nowhere to be seen. She has so many memories with it. Once she was so stubborn that she would drive the bike. So he, with lot of difficulty made her learn bike riding. From then on, for a week, she only drove him to college. At that time his face was so funny. Remembering all these memories, a small smile comes on her face which fades away in seconds. She sits there crying and asking all to herself a little loudly "why sanskar, why did you do this to me? I loved you with all my heart but you cheated me."

All this Sanskar sees from behind the door. He has just gone out for some fresh air but when he returned back he saw swara crying and he listened to her words. At that moment seeing her in pain, his heart felt like someone has stabbed him harder. Then he realized how she might have felt when she heard him speaking like that. She still loves him but he needs to gain her trust now and is determined to have his one chance. He shouts "Swara...."(his voice filled with pain). Swara is shocked and runs in the direction of his voice and is so worried of his safety that she forgot everything and is searching everywhere on his body and wanted to know whether he is fine or not.

Sanskar: Swara... Please give me one chance. I know I did a mistake but all the care and affection i showed towards you are not fake. Seriously I did it all by my heart. Please Swara, I can't leave you. Even I can't live without you. (He makes a puppy face. As there is no reply, he cups her face and looks deep into her eyes. Swara could feel the honesty in his eyes.)

In these three months, she had never felt that Sanskar's love is fake. He was always with her and gave her strength. So she decided to give their relation a chance. She nods in yes. He was so happy that comes forward to hug her. But she stops him in between.

Swara: Why did you shout? Are you hurt? Sanskar lets go to hospital please. What happened?

She keeps on blabbering without listening to him. To stop her he pulls her towards him holding her waist. She is shocked with the sudden action and stops talking. He hugs her and in her ear "Swara when you are with me I will be absolutely fine, it was just to make you come near me". He winks and leans towards her to kiss her but she places her hand on his mouth. He looks towards her confused.

Swara: First gain your trust from me. Only then you can come near me.

Sanskar puts a sad face. But he understands that these are not going to work until he gains back her trust. So he is very determined to do that as early as possible. Sanskar drops her back at her house and leaves to his home.
