Sneak Peek to a book I want to finish

Nick pushes his orange hair back by raking his fingers through it in a steady motion. Picking up some novels he had been reading, Nick stacks them loosely on his bookshelf. A knock presents it’s self at the birch door in a tune that reminds Nick of all the weird Christmas carols that tend to stick around all year long. Nick pulls on his black hoodie waiting for Makayla to wander elsewhere. He leans against his bedroom door listening to Makayla singing ‘Let it go’ in a casual manner. Ever since Frozen came out that was the song that was constantly being heard from Makayla where ever she went.
