Lunar Pocket

Lunar Pocket

A Poem by Pragati Chaudhary
"

Words

"
I am standing at the end of the lane where you left me,
deep and dark, when you picked me up in stark
on those chilly winter nights
the star lit road on Christmas and a sight to behold

You were the center of my universe
Does it need to be always told
you would never know where I am ever
even if you become too clever
I don’t know was I an option or an unsettling destiny for you

Tides exist because of the moon,
but what if the moon changes?

Loved the last two lines....they are powerful in your poem...
Loved the poem.

"Tides exist because of the moon,
but what if the moon changes, its position?"

Now, rhetorical question along with the lines rewinds the reader to the poem to reread it between the lines. The question sounds contracdictory to the poem context but if analysed well, it reveals the hidden truth of the poem.

Please take away "its Position" and have a defined question; "Tides exist because of the moon,
but what if the moon changes?"

People always change, even our role models, idols, and mentors. If the root of our system, destiny, or any areas of our live changes, we don't need to loose balance, we find another.

Well done.
