As I switched off my Phone
I realised that sometimes
the real world is more inclined to reality
then an area far away
the people, the nostalgia, the sickness, the hatred
I released everything with my phone Switched off!

It is so easy to get lost in virtual reality and believe that everything is okay, but when you take a step back and look at reality it hits you like a brick wall. I really like this poem Pragati. :D

Indeed how easy we all live a false account on-line be it by text, email or social media. My phone was being repaired recently and took two weeks. The relief of not having to be instantly available etc was liberating. Nice discussion piece.

you called me Dearrrrrrrrr! :))) this situation brings a clear picture of my children and grandchildren lined up on the couch and in chairs around the living room ...at my home for Thanksgiving ... all texting and giggling ... texting each other!!!!!! i could not believe it... i started confiscating devices after that ... into the brown bag they went until our celebration and family DISCUSSIONS were over ;)

we had fun...i use to pay them $.50 for a half hour back rub (cheap at any price) but they fought over who would do it because they had the last laugh as i fell asleep within minutes and they got paid the full price ;)))

Exactly why i don't have a phone!

The line between fiction and reality becomes too obviously blurred and the phone becomes a symbol of instant gratification of the technological kind eventually becoming an addiction.

Now, if only i can get off the Tablet!

I really hate you for keeping the poem so short. It was so fantastic that i wanted the lines to go on and on. Girl you dont know your writings have a melody of their own that sicks the mind with the dark content on the context you write about and yet soothes the heart to the core for better understanding of the truth of life. Ha! That's one of my fav. poetry, i would say.

Sometimes, it's really intriguing to imagine, like, how just a state of mind can change our life in no time. And phone is one of the biggest nostalgia to us youth now-a-days... cos neither we can keep it so "Switched off" for long nor can compromise damn heart with "time" ev'n without stupid internet.
