Sinking...

Sinking...

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

I sit and slowly Ponder
the purpose that I serve
Reflecting upon memory
to see what I deserve

The clock has stopped
The music; done
Neither have a sway

I hold out hope
for Guiding Light
to bring another day

Emotions begin stirring
Overcome, am I
Remorseful seas start drowning
I try to swim...

I try

Slowly down; I'm sinking
Of breath; I try to take
Wanting no more of reality
Wishing to awake

As if all had been just dream
While I lay in bed asleep
Afforded no such luxury

Both eyes open

Sadly Weep
