Hello older self Meet younger me The child inside your heart

Emily,

I told you that I was going to interweave Project Perfection and Project Shadows.

Project Perfection being the overall story being told.

Project Shadows being a short story that deals with the protagonists inner thoughts and emotions.

The sketch that I text to you.

Here's the idea I had in mind...

---

Imagine 2 people dancing.

A 33 year old woman and a 4 year old girl.

The adult and the child are the same person.

The dance is symbolic.

This dance, it is the moment of freedom for both.

The adult is acknowledging that the child still exists within her.

The little girl is acknowledging that the heart of a child can still exist even when being an adult.

---

- 2 pages -

On the left hand page:

3 images

(Similar to how your sketch had 3 images.)

1st image
Two spotlights revealing a floor in the dark

Text:
"Hello older self"

2nd image
A woman walks in from the left side of the page
A little girl walks in from the right side of the page

Text:
"Meet younger me"

3rd image
Standing in the spotlights -
The woman bows and the little girl curtseys

Text:
"The child inside your heart"

On the right hand page:

The woman and the girl are holding hands and dancing with each other.
Smiles are across both of their faces.
Euphoric bliss.

Text:
And they danced...

---

These words, combined with this imagery, conveys the exact emotions needed for the audience to understand.

Let me know your thoughts,

Zachary

This is an intriguing idea and I think it would be very interesting expanding on it, I'm working on an imaginary meeting between myself, my father and grandfather where the conversations get on to deep matters of family history and how the generations influence and relate to each other.
Well done - you have the seed, let it grow!
