Humbled

Just for a moment I reflect
I feel the beating of my heart
Trapped inside this moment
I see no means for my escape

And I pray, yes, without ceasing
For I am welcoming the truth truth
No more knocking on the door
I'll break it down to get to you

Because I know my favor's coming
That a promise will be kept
I didn't come this far to be abandoned
Or to be left without

Haith has gotten me this place
And from that faith I will not stray
I walk this path, I keep this trust
Never will He let me down

The promise of tomorrow
Is happening today
His blessings rain upon me
Never shall I accept defeat

I am stronger than I once was
But I had to break just to get there
I am renewed, I am enlightened
He won't turn his back on me

I ask for His forgiveness
Doing so, He answers - "YES"
Now I sit here, waiting patiently
I remain still, I am content

He knows just what I ask for
I speak to him everyday
My style of prayer is conversation
I give my heart - my form of praise

I speak with my emotions
That's what He truly asks of me
For it shows that I do love Him
When I humble of myself

He is always there to listen
To give a helping hand
Removing doubt, when I'm uncertain
To give me strength, when I can't stand
