Puppet

Puppet

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

You believe that I'm resentful
What was your first clue
Do not place the blame on me
This all leads back to you

You're the one who started this
And I threw caution to the wind
Believing what you told me
For you would guide me along the way

So damn naive, I guess I've been
I see you did not care
I was there just as your puppet
Was it fun, are you amused

It seems that playtime's over
Because you're nowhere around
You ran away from me
Yet, I stood by your side

You changed what can't be undone
Now you leave me on my own
What sick game are you playing
And when will it be through
