As have my heart and mind Cling on no more, to anything Place yourself to rest I don't need you to be all alone There nothing healthy about that Why must you be the loner I want you to have company Your stubbornness astounds me But I see that you're still here I didn't think that we were friends We've caused each other so much pain What is it you are wanting I have no more that I can give I am drained, burnt out, on empty So I leave this one last rhyme I just want to say thank you For the sentiment, I suppose When gone, I'll keep you with me In both poetry and prose © 2015 Leviathus Fortes |
