Miserably Wanting

Miserably Wanting

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

I still sit here just missing you
I want to see your face again
I want to hear the sound of your voice
Ringing in my ears

I want to see your smile
And look into your eyes
I want to hold your hand again
One more chance to feel your breath

Just a little closure
A simple goodbye
Maybe thats all it would take
So that I could move on

I'm tired of feeling like this
There is nothing to be gained
I'm miserable without you
Of that I realize

Here comes another nightmare
No matter where I go
Always find its way back to me
My one and only friend

Staring at the wall
Sleeping the day through
Numb away the pain
But nothing ever helps

Continue on just like this
I wonder if you care
I'm stuck inside depression
It's all the same with each new day

Relief is all I'm asking
When will I receive
A gift to stop this nothing
That eats apart my soul

Emotional and powerful journey in your words.
"Relief is all I'm asking
When will I receive
A gift to stop this nothing
That eats apart my soul "
I understand the above lines. Hard to forget but we must. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Good write, it's sad but I can understand longing for closure. When things are left
unsettled, just makes that much worse. Hang in there and thx for sharing, PTL!
