Staring at the Wall

Staring at the Wall

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Sitting simply waiting
Nothing more to do
I step into my mind
To find if purpose is there

So vividly they came to me
Now all images are gone
Where is it that I go from here
I feel I am without

Was it nothing more than illusion
The happiness I'd found
Now I sit here deep in question
My spirit being drained

I'm staring at the wall again
Is it boredom or much more
A satisfaction must be granted
Lest I cease to be

A thorn that's digging deep inside
Filling up the hollowness
Sleep the whole day through
Energy has gone

Awake again tomorrow
Place the cycle on repeat
Spread out the day with mundane moments
Close my eyes once more

The tapestry unraveled
Hanging on to the last thread
Complicated this, my travel
At what point do I break

You don't break you do everything in your power to keep it from breaking and find ways to strengthen it and reenforcen it.
