Captured in a Dream

Captured in a Dream

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Euphoria has washed over me
So finally, I relax
To Rest, if for a moment
May this feeling never go

My heart is slowly beating
My legs now have gone weak
I sink into a slumber
From which I wish not to wake

My eyes now closed, yet open
I'm soaring in the air
Am I being lifted up
Or have I uplifted me

I pluck a word out from the sky
Like I always do
I add it to my collection
For I will reference it one day

It seems I do this every time
I'm captured in a dream
I like it when I come here
Sometimes I wish I could remain

Then I drop into a river
I'm swept away by its flow
I see another word and grab it
Then I reach the waterfall

As I fall, something does happen
A voice tells me "Complete"
My eyes open and I'm sitting
With the words upon a page
