All that Remains

All that Remains

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Everything I needed, packed away
But can't have a single thing
Starting over, getting new life
Leaving of this past behind

Do I take nothing with me
Just the person who I am
Once long ago, had they definition
Now material to sit unused

No question, this is better
My old self has found a change
A true heart, yes, I do carry
That seems to be all that remains
