Desire

Desire

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Awakened here mid afternoon
Just like the day before
This becomes a habit
From which I cannot break

I see that nothing's changed
Still I keep moving forward
But to what, that is the question
Then tomorrow, start again

Soon enough there may be light
Shone upon the darkness kept
Deeply hidden, a soul in ribbons
Which they've been so long a time

I need of tranquil setting
Restitution and return
Faith, hope, sometimes wishing
Emotions reach resolve
