Acamar

Acamar

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

I will not adhere to you
Get away from me
I am nonconformist
What is your excuse

Yes I may be different
But at least I'm free inside
Carry on with you trivialities
My time without is better spent

The reason I am speaking
Is just to clarify
That I am nothing like you
Don't try to change what has no need

Why fix what is not broken
Behind clever disguise
Yes, I see, so just stop trying
I'm not a toy here for your play

You've tried to mold me into you
And I'll have no more
My soul is mine, it stays that way
I don't want your acamar
