I Shall Dance

I Shall Dance

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

All around me
Seeking serenity
But do I chance going there

The piano, it plays
The music, it carries me
Onward to a better place

I Shall Dance

In the stillness
A reflection forms
Yet it is now I, that I see

Surrounding vibrant colors skew
Like a rainbow from a prism
And my heart begins to beat

I Shall Dance

My mind, inside the gears do turn
Flow like water down a fall
Liquid, beautiful, nourishing and skilled

I Shall Dance

I take one moment for myself
Realizing what is truly before me
Once blind, I now see with open eyes

I Shall Dance

I woke up and that's a good start
No matter how bad the day make it
I treat the present as it is a present

I Shall Dance
