A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

The promise made
Forgiveness
As blood was shed for thee

Nourished, filled
Abundant
As if fruit upon a tree

The greatest man who ever lived
The greatest story told
The greatest gift to ever give
His truth we must uphold

Pastures up plenty
Calmness of spirit
Falling light

Listen with your heart
The knowing voyage
Future bright

Just here with nature and the constant allusion
Like in a dream

The bliss of being

Pure mind, pure joy
Ever free, never bound

Fine is good
Good is great
Keep mind of things
And always elate

"You are my sunshine"
That's how it goes
What did transcend
God only knows

I shall find him

In the sun and the moon
The air that I breathe
The earth beneath my feet
The sounds that I hear

In those to which I speak
And those who speak to me

The music that plays on
Inside my heart and in my head
All the beauty that surrounds me
Even foods that I shall taste

Thankful am I to arise each morning from my bed
