Non-Contritional

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Regret finds buffet in a soul.
Cast it out.
Learn.
Then grow.
---

I have no feeling for you
If you cannot come to terms
To be lying when you say
We are dwelling on the past

I will not forget those moments
Watch them get pushed aside
Ask me "who were they again?"
As if they did not exist

Your ugly heart devours
Not caring who you have destroyed
In its endless quest for power
To relish in all that you've done

A void inside cannot be filled
When you take someone away
It will not piece you together
Never are you whole

But good things come from this
It will build others to be strong
Except for you, who will keep trying
And never gain of that, a soul

Continue down this darkened path
Never will there be a light that shines
For it must come from within
But I have seen, you are without

I hope you find what you were looking for
Maybe one day you'll stop to reflect
See all the faces of those you hurt
And then you'll come to realize

You find yourself just standing
Ruler of it all
To be the king or queen, of nothing
You have succeeded, you're alone
