Rigorously

Rigorously

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

I feel as though I'm aging
Yet the year's not passed me by

Aching, too much numbness
I want only to relax

These memories, overflowing
I wish I could push away

I'm running out of time
No matter how young I may be

To endlessly keep searching
When clues are nowhere to be found

Looking for an answer
When the question hides from me

A walk turned into running
Without shoes, just my bare feet

A moment that is long since dead
Yet alive inside of me

A task seen to completion
Too many ways I can begin

Rigorously, I gather thought
And wait out another day
