A Note from your Conscience

A Note from your Conscience

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

I feel that we don't talk that much
It's like your neglecting me
I thought that we were friends

Don't you like me anymore
Because I still like you
It's gotten so lonely here

I've been waiting on you
Unsure of your return
It took you awhile to get back

I'm happy that I'm seeing you
I'd like to give you a hug
Would you accept one from me

Why are you so hesitant
This should come as no surprise
You know I've always been here

It seems as if you don't want me
But we are one and the same
I am hurt by your resistance

I feel that this relationship's one-sided
And you have not pulled your weight
Don't you care about me anymore

I'm tired of giving to you
When it's clear you do not care
If I leave this time, I'm not coming back

I like the way you wrote this - kind of like random thoughts pouring upon the page...questions that may never be answered, but still the heart wants to know.
