Sheep

Sheep

A Story by Leviathus Fortes

Sheep are standing all around
They're gathered in a flock
Blank stares across their faces
Not knowing where to go

Will one not stand out from them
To break up the routine
Are they all to be forever
Lost in their own minds

A black sheep is what's needed
For it does not fit in
All disregard the black sheep
It's doesn't match their color scheme

So I say to you, ole black sheep
Don't stop being you
Show them all another way
You're free from conformity

You shall rise to the occasion
Yes, you are one who's lived
Surprises have found you in life
I see how strong you have become

So teach them all a thing or two
Why a black sheep is never bad
Guide them by your boldness
For you are most unique
