ReturnA Poem by Leviathus Fortes
Tempted by all around me
I wonder if I should give them Release myself into the moment And the pleasure it will give Do I turn to these things To place my mind at ease A good idea, at least it sounds like What now am I to do Relief from all that binds me Shall I be fulfilled For temporary satisfaction To take my mind off of these things When I return to reality They will come back for sure But in the moment, of elation The outside world does not exist Relaxed am I, nirvanic All my pain, it melts away I'd like to live here in sanctuary But there's a job that I must do I will return, I guarantee I would not give up this Give me time, just a little more And I will come back to you © 2015 Leviathus Fortes |
