Where can I begin?



Amidst the many things we shared
The greatest was our hearts

I find I always think of you
Even when I'm not awake

To breathe or have a heartbeat
You are always there

I'd like to say thank you
For coming into my life

I invested so much time in you
Time I know that was well spent

To be there in mere presence
Was all either one did need

Sometimes words between us were not spoken
But we would share with just a look

We kept each other going
Making each day worth getting through

Both of us connected
And then we were joined at the hip

Every moment, we wrapped up in
And warmed each other's souls

Yes, I would change so many things
just to have more time with you

If I had that power in me
Miracles would I perform

I'm missing you, I realize
You left a hole here in my heart

That's a sign that you meant something
A rare treasure I did find

Everything about you
Inspires me to be

Although we miss each other
We set each other free
